Christiania, Jac(ob) Dybwad’s Forlag, n.d. (ca. 1860). In original boards, two linen-backed folding maps, one of South Norway and the other of North Norway. 12mo. Fifth edition (5te oplag). The front blind-stamped cover with a gilt title in a decorative framework of scrolling motifs, with gilt publisher details underneath, and the back cover with a similar scrolling framework containing a shield-like decorative motif. The board’s corners and edges rubbed and bumped, with a 2-inch tear to the cloth over the upper rear hinge. Each map comprises 25 hand-colored panels on a linen backing measuring 57x80 cm. The linen verso of the map of Northern Norway is stamped twice with the letter F in a roundel. Both maps are otherwise in near fine condition.
