A New Yorker's Idea of The United States of America

This is a humorous pictorial and satirical map of the United States from the perspective of a New Yorker.
Satire shown on the map includes:
New York State, Manhattan and Brooklyn shown oversized in proportion to the entire country.
Long Island is simply titled “Brooklyn”.
Minneapolis and Indianapolis are shown together in Michigan as “The Twin Cities".
Four "Swanee Rivers” cross the South.
The Great Lakes include "Great Salt Lake" and "Lake Louise".
Florida is also oversized.
Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul, Dubuque and Nebraska as cities in Illinois.
Nevada is a place in Reno, and New Mexico is a place in Texas.
Alaska abuts Montana and Oregon.
Idaho is a place in Oregon.
Oregon is north of Washington State.
Wyoming a place in Montana.
San Francisco is shown as a state as is Hollywood with California being in between.
Hawaii is adjacent to Java and Tahiti.
The 1939 New York World's Fair, Yankee Stadium and the Polo Grounds are noted as well.

The text and vignettes are satirical as well with, "We have cousins in the West. . . They live in Wilmington, Delaware." and other humorous quotes.

The lower border shows and old-west view of the desert and a covered wagon on the left and a modern city and cars on the right.
