This is a beautiful and striking example of Homann's regional map of the Danube River from Belgrade in Serbia up to the Black Sea. The map is beautifully hand-colored in outline and wash as published. The map shows relief pictorially, ports and towns, waterways and bodies, churches, forests, and notations. This map does not have the typical cartouche of most Homann maps, but does have a small legend and scale bars.
