A very nice decorative example of Blaeu's detailed map of Provence, showing Nice, Cannes, St. Tropez, Toulon, Marseille, etc. Decorated by 2 cartouches, 3 unique coats of arms, 2 compass roses, 3 sailing ships, and relief shown pictorially. Possibly from the 1638 edition of Blaeu's Atlas Novus or from Theatre Geographique de la France Contenant les Cartes et Description Particulieres des Provinces d'iceluy Royaume as another possibility.
