Folio grande map is an original copper engraving of 1845.

This is the rare edition by Gabriello De Sanctis, featured in 1845 in his amazing work/Atlas, "ATLANTE COROGRAFICO DEL REGNO DELLE DUE SICILIE..... Napoli, 1845."

The present map is engraved on a single thick sheet in "Imperial Folio" size, without the usual centrefold.

Map published in Naples, Italy, with excellent and well marked inking, light and original watercolour, wide margins and geographically very well detailed at every point. The area is just north of Naples along the coast and the primary town in the region is Caserta. Relief shown pictorially and a legend showing boundaries is included. The title is large and quite embellished.

In very good condition, as per photos, with small browning and/or marginal stains.
