Stretto di Gibilterra

Striking and highly detailed very interesting original colored lithographic map of the Strait of Gibraltar. The map shows the city and the rock of Gibraltar, as well as Ceuta & Tangier, in Morocco. Several sailing ships adorn the plate.

Atlas of the world in 2 volumes, published mainly for educational purposes; the plates were also sold separately, and the title page reads in fact ""50 cents each table"". Volume 1 contains 16 lithographic maps and views, some double page.
